The Venice Biennale is a key forum for world contemporary art, actively attracts the attention of Ukrainian artists for their own expression and demonstration of the unique character of Ukrainian art. The modern history of Ukraine's presence at the Venice Biennale began only in 2001. From that moment, Ukraine is constantly presented at this largest forum - with national pavilions, separate additional projects. All the projects presented on art platforms of Biennale are a reflection of complex and dynamic history that Ukrainian state is going through. Through the visual series of projects, and their ideas and form of implementation, you can trace the vector of modern Ukrainian society development, feel the characteristic features of modern Ukrainian art, and get acquainted with the creative landscape of various districts and regions of Ukraine. The lecture will present an overview of the most significant projects of Ukrainian artists at the Venice Biennale from the beginning of the 20th century until 2022.
