International Office

The International Office (IO) of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (AFAD) coordinates the school’s activities and provides methodology in the area of international cooperation. It evaluates the results of AFAD’s work within international field and prepares background information for decisions regarding future development. IO participates on drafting cooperation agreements with partner universities and other institutions abroad, manages their administration and keep it up-to-date.

The International Office provides institutional coordination of the Erasmus+ Programme and Bilateral Agreements, managing its overall organisational, administrative and financial agenda. The IO organises and takes care of selection process of students willing to participate at student and internship mobilities abroad. The office coordinates study stays of international students at AFAD, as well as scholarships and fellowships of AFAD students abroad. It provides methodical and practical background for AFAD employers’ business trips abroad, teaching and training mobilities, as well as for accepting international visitors, pedagogues and researchers for internships, fellowships and other academic stays at AFAD.
