"The end of the season is behind the hole in the fence, or on the other side of the telescope lens. It's like an unintentional, slightly musty time capsule, hidden in plain sight..." Palo Čejka
Tomáš Klepoch (*1981)
he graduated in the studio of graphics and other media and in the studio of visual communication at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia. He is engaged in free graphic creation and illustration, creates objects and installations in public space.
He has exhibited his works in domestic and foreign galleries, he participates in international tours with a focus on graphic creation. It is the holder of the National Design Award for 2009 and several awards for the most beautiful book. His works are represented in the collections of several galleries, including the Slovak National Gallery and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. He works with the processes of linocut and woodcut, while experimenting with different printing methods (oven, wheelbarrow, garden roller), materials (wood, building materials, pitch) and carving methods (from spades to cutters, carbon grinders to chainsaws). Through subjectively chosen symbols, he comments on the nature of the Slovak landscape and its realities, while often focusing on overlooked and marginal scenes."
