Annotation

The stone is not a given. It is created.
Some was formed in the core of the star. Another in a microwave.
Both endure – but each remembers something different.

The MINERAL ERROR exhibition emerged from research that refuses to understand stone as a stable, eternal entity. At its centre is Mia Čopíková, whose dissertation critically examines one of jewellery's most iconic materials – the diamond. Not for its brilliance, but for what it symbolizes: hardness, hierarchy, stereotype, idealized value.
The author creates new forms: carbide artefacts from the microwave, brooches from worn-out tools, synthetic stones that ask questions instead of answers.

This is not a jewelry show.
This is a collection of anomalies.
A place where a mistake is not a mistake – but a method.
