Study Painting at M-LAB, the New Experimental Painting Laboratory

M-LAB at the Department of Painting will be led by Assoc. Prof. MFA Michal Černušák, ArtD. The programme is open to third- and fourth-year bachelor’s students and first-year master’s students, either as an internal internship or as a supplementary studio course.

About the Studio

The Painting Laboratory is a space where classical painting education meets contemporary technologies, experimentation, and research. The studio aims to support students in developing their own visual language and individual artistic style by testing new painting techniques and exploring the possibilities of different materials. Painting is understood as an open process of continuous exploration rather than a closed discipline.
