Academic Board

The Academic Board of the University of Fine Arts and Design is a body that was established on the basis of the Law on Universities. Its mission is to apply and promote the public interest of AFAD, especially in connection with the use of its property and financial resources provided by the state on the basis of a subsidy contract. Its position, scope and competences are given by law, the statute of AFAD and the statute of the Academic Board. The Academic Board has seven members, three of whom are elected by the AS of AFAD, three nominated and appointed by the Ministry of Education and Culture after the approval of the AS of AFAD, and the seventh member was elected by the members of the Academic Board of AFAD.

  • Ing. Juraj Heger, chairman - elected by members of AS AFAD
  • Mgr. Silvia Hroncová, vice president - appointed by the Minister of Education of the Slovak Republic

Members:

  • Mgr. Andrej Hutta, MBA - appointed by the Minister of Education of the Slovak Republic
  • Ing. arch. Ingrid Konrad – elected by the student section of AS AFAD
  • Mgr. Michal Liday - appointed by the Minister of Education of the Slovak Republic
  • Ing. arch. Juraj Šujan - elected by members of AS AFAD
