Piešťany House of Art. Architecture of Ferdinand Milucky.
Presentation of the work of young authors who have been photographically mapping selected buildings by F. Milučký since 2019.
The aim of the collective exhibition, which will take place in September 2020, is to present the work of young authors who have been photographically mapping selected buildings by F. Milučky since 2019 (Dom umenia, Pieštany; Krematórium, Bratislava) and subsequently transforming them into their projects. It is a depiction of their current state in the form of a photographic document (M. Hakár), a video presentation, specifically a short film about the staff of institutions (P. Ščepková), or the creation of a porcelain series inspired by the building and its lines (M. Stanová), etc .. form also presented with slides, which immediately after the realization was photographed in the 80s by Ľ. Stacho, so the viewer will have the opportunity to compare the current situation. The main purpose of the project is to present not only young authors, but also a critical depiction of the company's relationship to monuments, or to open questions about how architectural realizations are handled. The exhibition will be created in collaboration with independent architect and activist Lívia Gažová, who works directly in Piešťany. The exhibition will also include a guided tour with the curator and architect and a catalog with photographs. In 2020, the Department of Photography and New Media of the VŠVU will celebrate its 30th anniversary, so a presentation outside Bratislava is necessary.
