Open call for exhibition projects of non-established artists

Jozef Kollár Gallery in Banská Štiavnica, which is a part of the Slovak Mining Museum, announces an open call for exhibition projects of non-established artists, which would be realized in the period July - December 2021.

The exhibitions will be located in the small space on the 1st floor of the gallery. We want to offer this space, called START UP, for a long time for presentations of emerging authors (including art students) of the domestic as well as foreign scene. In line with the new direction of the museum and the gallery, exhibition projects should reflect environmental themes.

For projects selected under this call, the Jozef Kollár Gallery will provide: transport of works within Slovakia, printing of promotional materials, installation assistance, PR, accommodation for the author, supervision and monitoring of the exhibition, lectures, creation of educational and accompanying activities.

If you are interested in applying for the open call, send us an annotation of the project together with visual documentation, your CV and portfolio by June 6, 2021 to the address . You can also contact us with any questions at this email address. We will select a maximum of 4 of the submitted projects. Their selection will be decided by the Jozef Kollár Gallery’s Board composed of: Dušan Buran, Damas Gruska, Silvia Herianová, Mária Janušová, Matúš Lányi, Ivana Rumanová and Jan Zálešák.

If our students are interested in this open call and need help with the preparation and organization of their project, feel free to contact Tomáš Jančařík from our Support and Counseling Center for AFAD Students on .
