New management of AFAD in Bratislava
At its 2nd regular meeting on November 27, 2018, the Academic Senate of the Academy of Fine Arts elected Associate Professor, Master Bohunka Koklesová, Philosophy Doctor, as a candidate for Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts.
Pursuant to Section 10, Paragraph 2 of Act No. 131/2002 of the Collection of Laws on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments to Certain Acts, as amended, the President of the Republic, Andrej Kiska, appointed doc. Mgr. Bohunka Koklesová, PhD. on 30 January 2019 to the position of Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, for the period from 1 February 2019 to 31 January 2023.
Starting on February 1, 2019 doc. Mgr. Bohunka Koklesova, PhD. began to serve as rector of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava.
Based on the trust of the AS AFAD and a decree from the President of the Slovak Republic, Doc. Mgr. Bohunka Koklesova, PhD. in accordance with the law and the statute of the school, the right to run and manage the school, to act on its behalf, to chair the management and the college of the rector of the school and to chair the Arts Council of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava.
At its meeting on February 4, 2019, the Academic Senate of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava approved the proposal of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava for the appointment of vice-rectors and vice-rectors.
The vice-rector for research and artistic activity was approved by prof. Stanislav Stankoci, acad. he had. The vice-rector for the study was approved by doc. Mgr. art. Jana Hojstričová, ArtD. The Vice-Rector for Grant and Project Activities approved doc. Mgr. art. Sylvia Jokelová. The Vice-Rector for International Affairs approved doc. Mgr. art. Marcel Bencik, ArtD.
The ceremonial inauguration of the rector and vice-rectors will take place on 27 February 2019 at 11.00 am. in the Mojzes Hall on Vajanského nábreží no. 12 in Bratislava. The newly elected rector invites the entire academic community of the AFAD, as well as the school staff, to this solemn act.
