Awarded at the National Design Award
We are very pleased that among the 275 nominated works, those created at our school, or our colleagues and collaborators, were also awarded.
This year, too, a competition and exhibition of the National Design Award organized by the Slovak Design Center took place. After last year's product design year, NCD has returned to selecting the best communication design works created in 2018 and 2019.
Among the winners were:
- Soňa Juríková for the Czemoji project. Czech emoticons (student of visual communication, teacher: Pavol Bálik) - category: Student design
- Atelier Choma (Pavel Choma - pedagogue from the Department of Foreign Communication, Martin Kubina) and Ové Pictures for the Slovak stand at the international book fair Livre Paris 2019 - category: Space
- Michal Tornyai for the collection of publications for the Čierne diery association (teacher from the Department of Visual Communication) - category: Books and Publications
Price for design personalities:
- Pavol Bálik (teacher from the Department of Visual Communication) - category: Established designer
