Notes From The Post-spaces
Klára Kusá
Photography and New Media
The aim of the project Notes from the post-spaces is to highlight the pointlessness of the production of the artworks themselves. This is because production is an essential element of the capitalist system, even in the case of artefacts. The main motifs of the installation Notes from the post-spaces become the deconstruction of the found object and the search for the meaning of the word readymade in its structure, a structure where artificial matter becomes the base for grasping the meaning of the matter, specifically the meaning of the word “damage”, whereby the given attribute becomes essential to the matter. Notes from the post-spaces become notes to the pre-space or post-space. Both components are worn out and destroyed by the constant exchange of artefacts. Notes from the post-spaces are thus notes on post-art, post-capitalist times occurring in the post-space. The fragmentation of today’s post-period and our existence in it is manifested through scraps of photographic material or pieces of styrofoam. The viewer thus becomes a post-observer in the post-studio. Dematerialisation is manifested precisely in its opposite, in the analysis of the matter. Paradoxically, this points to the importance of the matter in the sphere of post- conceptual art. Post-space is also a response to the existence of hyperobjects, it is the destroyed space of our planet. It makes no sense to occupy it with artefacts and produce more artworks. The aim of working with post-space and its supply lies in the recycling of material, the creation of an artefact out of an already existing artefact, and thus the creation of a post-artefact.

Decor And Its Possibilities
Zuzana Kováčiková
Applied Art
In my work, I decided to create interior items – vases, in which decor plays an essential role, becoming a supporting element as well as a form tool. I build on the experience I have gained so far during my studies and use metal as a secondary material alongside glass. I create the decor before the semi-products themselves are created, which gives me the opportunity to define their future shape in advance. At the same time, metal can offer a new perspective on decoration. In addition to the relief decor, the glass is pushed outwards through the perforated parts of the metal, thus adding another dimension to the creation of the decor.

Nedokončené.
Eva Straková
Painting
Alzheimer's is a progressive disease where dementia symptoms gradually worsen over a number of years. In its early stages, memory loss is mild, but with late-stage Alzheimer's, individuals lose the ability to carry on a conversation and respond to the environment.
My personal experience of being around a dear person with Alzheimer's lasted something over three years and made me want to capture the essence of personality fading away.
I started visualizing memories and past stories I remembered, and after this experience I came up with displaying a person with the disease as a broken tree- a paradigm shift happening, losing stable connections, facing the fact you no longer see a person but their faded imprint.

Photography As A Trace Of Existence
Mária Šimová
Photography and New Media
I focus on photography, not as we know it in the usual sense, that is a faithful record of reality. I am interested in photography rather from a chemical point of view - photography as drawing with light, as a light trail, reaction. I am interested in the materiality of the photographic medium, the light-sensitive layer, process, photography as a trace, experiment, latent image, aura or interventions, processes, and reactions. I deal with the relationship between existence and experiment or how an abstract image affects us and what happens during the creation process. I am interested in photography as a reaction to light. Photography is a dialogue between material and light.
I take the photosensitive paper out of the protective packaging and let it react. The color tonality changes depending on the type of paper and the amount of light acting on it.
I also expose the light-sensitive paper to the light from the scanner and create a fixed digital version at the same time.
I combine two contradictory actions - initiating and stopping movement.
Certain parts of the image are chemically developed and fixed, and certain parts are constantly changing. The photographic images are alive and still changing.

A Stone On The Heart
Ilarii Omelchenko
Applied art
Identity for every person manifests itself in different aspects one of them is vyshyvanka. In Ukraine it's one of most important symbols,) which fills cultural heritage of the country. That is why in my project I manifested my identity through ornament, which connects with Ukraine, my motherland. For my home region (Volyn region) are typical geometric ornaments, using stylized flowers or flower-like geometry. I chose ornaments with rhombic composition, which is common for most of Ukraine. Rhombus in ornament is a symbol of protection and care.
'Stone in the heart' (heart is heavy) - is an idiom in Ukraine. For me, it's events I can't influence which take place far away, but I experience their consequences emotionally every day. This idiom is the reason why I have chosen a shape of stone for my project. Brooches usually wear on the left side close to the heart. It was very symbolic to create a brooch in the shape of a stone, which will be on my heart. Ornaments which are engraved on stones, representing identity connecting all people around one problem.
I used aluminium for this jewellery. Aluminium is light enough, which makes brooches wearable. For achieving more realism, brooches were chemically patinated. During manufacture for some brooches I used acryl because its sticks well to aluminium. This helped to highlight the ornament and create a texture of destruction.
