Viktória Revická – Yeast Movement
The Slovak Mining Museum - Jozef Kollár Gallery in Banská Štiavnica cordially invites you to the opening of the exhibition of Viktoria Revická
Curator of the exhibition: Nina Vidovencová.
The starting point for Viktoria Revická's video performance "Yeast Movement" is her own experience with yeasts, their coexistence and sensitivities. The author created a movement performance about the process of fermented life, which was created in collaboration with Lucia Kupcová, Tatiana Takáčová, Veronika Verešová, Denis Kozerawski, Kvet Nguyen and Andrea Kuriaková.
Viktória Revická (* 1997) studies at the Department of Intermedia at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. In her work she works with performativity and with text. It combines her personal interest in ecology, which is reflected in the starting points and approach to artistic creation. Through slowdown, internal processes and sensitization feed on the vulnerability of the environment. The feeling of fragility conveys to us through a visual metaphor e.g. figs, composting, mimosa pudici or fermentation cultures.
The exhibition "Yeast Movement" will be located in the START UP space on the 1st floor of the Jozef Kollár Gallery, which is focused on the presentation of non-established artists.
Duration of the exhibition: until 31.7.2022
The realization of works for the exhibition was supported by the Slovak Art Council in the form of a scholarship.
