Trophy Case
Natural scenery in large-format photographs by Ján Kekeli and paintings by Ivana Mojšová and Paulína Gajerová, which work with human presence, desires and humility - you can see all this in a new exhibition prepared by the curator Ľuboš Kotlár in the NBS Gallery. The exhibition of AFAD graduates will last until the end of the summer.
The exhibition is open every working day at the National Bank of Slovakia
Although the author often depicts figurative motifs directly on the surface of the painting, their works are not purely anthropocentric. The human presence in these compositions does not play the role of a mover in action, but gets into a passive position, while the very environment in which it is located significantly exceeds it, shapes it or absorbs it directly. Despite the recurring natural motifs of the work, they do not have a strictly calming character; on the contrary, they often give the viewer a disturbing impression of threat, loneliness or closure.
