Photography for Ukraine
We have decided to help in the crisis in Ukraine because we feel that it is and will be necessary to help fot a longer time. You support Ukraine by buying photos.
Photography for Ukraine is a project created under the auspices of the Slovak online magazine www.dokumentmagazin.sk - archive of Slovak photography in cooperation with the Ukrainian photography festival Odessa Photo Days and is focused mainly on the support of photographers and culture in Ukraine. More than 30 artists from Slovakia and Ukraine took part and provided their photos for sale. These will be offered on our website for a period of 3 weeks (from 11 April to 1 May 2022) and subsequently delivered to the donor. More works will be added gradually. We donate all the obtained funds to support Ukraine. Part of the funds will be transferred through the partner organization (NGO Art Travel, organizer of the Odessa Photo Days festival) for the purpose of humanitarian support to Kharkiv With You (https://kharkiv-with-you.org/en/), part of the funds will be used according to current needs for direct assistance to the families of Ukrainian artists most affected by the war.
Teachers, students, as well as graduates of the Department of Photography and New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, have participated and will continue to participate in the project.
Jakub Michal Teringa, Michal Huba, Šimon Parec, Zuzana Pustaiová, Matej Hakár, Mária Šimová, Barbora Podola, Dominika Jackuliaková, Boris Németh, Lenka L. Lukačovičová, and more will be added gradually.
How to buy a photo?
Choose a photo and create a binding online order at www.dokumentmagazin.sk/preukrajinu. You will receive a confirmation email with further instructions. We will distribute the works after the end of the project. If you have chosen personal collection, you will be able to take them in person at the Medium Gallery on Hviezdoslavovo Square no. 18 in Bratislava. We will inform you in writing about the delivery. If you have chosen delivery by post, we will deliver the works to the address specified by you.
The recommended minimum price of one photo is € 69, but the final decision is yours, you can contribute a larger amount to the fundraising. We donate all the obtained funds to support Ukrainian photography, thanks to the fact that the printing of photos was financially supported by our partners SYNCHRONIX, a.s. and Bright, s.r.o.
