A substantial part of the exhibition is devoted to the design and implementation of interiors, but there is also a broader spectrum of the author's work, characterized by overlaps in architectural and product design. Unconventional furniture elements and accessories are most often tied to a specific interior and a specific user.

Through visualizations and especially photo documentation of realized works, visitors can look not only into public spaces (offices, commercial spaces, wellness, hotels), but also into private spaces of family houses and apartments. The diversity of approaches in solving a specific space, supplemented by atypical elements, adds uniqueness to the interiors and shows design possibilities. Each problem that the author solves has a different characteristic, and thus represents a different challenge, a different way of perceiving the situation and determines a different behavior, a different inspiration, and a choice of methods. And this is where the author's characteristic creativity, thoughtfulness and joke are fully manifested, which in the final solution are synergistically combined with a unique artistic vision, attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.

A total of 30 interiors are presented, which were created between 1992 and 2022. In addition to the thematic diversity and specifics of the author's approach, they also demonstrate the development of requirements and criteria for the interior, availability and development of new materials or technologies at the time.

Another syllabus of the exhibition is the perception of the contexts of Debnár's interior design in chronological order and historical context. Miroslav Debnár began working on the professional design scene in the early 1990s, during the post-modern period. This turbulent period was characterized by the ongoing change in the political and economic system, when the market emerged. The transformation of socio-economic and cultural relations and a number of other factors also influenced the development in the field of interior design and determined its possibilities at the time in the Slovak context. The exhibition therefore also provides the visitor with an image of the situation from the recent past. It conveys the feeling and spirit of the time, while capturing the present that emanates from this continuum.

Miroslav Debnár (born on June 13, 1962 in Lučenec) is a graduate of design at the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Kremnica (1981) and at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (1992). On the Slovak design scene, he is known for his long-term focus on interior design and his rich portfolio of commercial and residential premises, family houses, as well as civil engineering. His interiors excel in a unique atmosphere, user comfort and at the same time provide surprising artistic moments and a number of details refined to perfection. He also deals with product and experimental design. He presented his work at several individual and collective exhibitions in Slovakia (Lučenec, Bratislava, Banská Bystrica, Košice, Nitra, Spišská n / Ves) and abroad (Osaka, Tokyo, Saint-Étienne, Ljubljana, Vienna, Prague).

Several of his realizations were included in the representative selection of Slovak interior design INTERIOR.SK.05 / 07 and INTERIOR.SK.08 / 10.

He also passes his experience from active design activities to the next generation. Since 1992 he has been working as a teacher and associate professor (2005) at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, where he currently heads the Department of Design (2002) and the Interior Design Studio (2018).

Miroslav Debnár lives and works in Bratislava.
