Annotation:

Among the exhibited paintings, you will find works that Ľudmila Machová presented at the three previous exhibitions - Emittance in the City Gallery in Rimavská sobota, July – August 2020, Antinomic relationship in the Liptovská gallery P. M. Bohúň in Liptovský Mikuláš, October 2020 – February 2021, or in the Flatgallery in Bratislava under the name FLUX, summer 2021. That's also the reason why we called this exhibition FUSION.

In the exhibition project called FUSION, the author presents herself through painting with works in which she deals with radiation, vibrations, light sources, absorption of space, rubble, ruins, layering, the effect of time, destruction, decay, interconnection, transformations and renewal. She investigates these events at the interface of the personal domestic environment of the apartment/studio, urban landscape and fragments of nature/landscape. The main attribute of her work is a heap in the form of rubble, often connected by an indeterminate organic-inorganic structure. In her works, she primarily focuses on the intimate space of her apartment and studio, which she explores in relation to the immediate surroundings of the urban exterior in a time of constant transformation. At first glance, Machová is interested in unaesthetic urban still lifes in the form of shapeless rubble after renovation of buildings. In an associative way, she connects the events primarily taking place in her private environment with what is happening outside, for example in the form of the demolition of the premises of the former Matadorka outside the windows of her previous studio. The changing urban exterior, as well as nature itself, are a constant source of inspiration for her. The acid-lit ruins of rubble still lifes are abstracted and coloured in a garish orange. The paintings thus create a kind of oppressive post-apocalyptic atmosphere contrasting with fragments of phosphorescent green areas. The paintings reflect what naturally fascinates Machová, namely the process by which an artificially created space becomes natural again, or the natural, on the contrary, becomes artificial. The unbridled and wild elemental nature of nature subtly grows into the interior of the home, which we tirelessly try to isolate from the outside world and defend against these influences.
