Do you remember how we met?

Exhibition Do you remember how we met? in Kunsthalle EXT deals with the first meetings and memories of the author and her friends.

Place: Kunsthalle EXT, Námestie SNP 12, Bratislava

Author: Nikola Čižmárová
Curator: Katarína Jankechová

The exhibition consists of an object installation of ashtrays, which stage a place of interactions in a public space. It includes an audio recording describing each of the situations from two angles. Different perspectives are created by selecting certain placeholders. This creates a moment of (in) confession, the intention of which is to evoke in the viewer a sense of awareness of the process of selection, transience and obscurity of memories. The selection of objects is related to them. In some of the first meetings, the common denominators were the ashtrays, which can be understood as clues to memories or places on the three specific streets where the situations took place. Nikola Čižmárová's intention is to create a space for meetings and to arouse in the viewer a spectator of memory, with which she also worked when creating the sound recording.
