Annotation

Between the layers of time, a moment of generational touch occurs. The permeating gesture of connection leaves its imprint in its earthly materiality. The craft of ceramics bends here, its familiar structures disrupted. Form loses its certainty and senses a change in the body. The thematic common ground of the artists' work is precisely the body and its capacity to adapt, or to erase its existence entirely. From the development of embryonic form, through the boundaries of its vulnerability, the perception of visual features carrying the weight of stereotypical expectations, to scattered fragments from which a new world is born. The title Incarnation etymologically refers to the act of transformation. The immaterial takes on bodily form, becomes tangible, accessible to the senses. Incarnation thus carries not only the character of a materialised thought, but also a fragile entry into a space where generational legacies shine through one another
