Dana Tomečková – Feeling of Matter
The Performance Laboratory invites you to the workshop The Feeling of Matter with artist Dana Tomečková — a meeting that will move between conversation and bodily experience.

No prior experience required.
From brief insights into the basic principles of physics, we will move into a space of paradox — where scientific knowledge meets the body. We will oscillate between the visible and the invisible, exploring the plasticity of imagination and the boundaries of perception in relation to matter.
Through a series of simple exercises, we will test different forms of matter, sense their resistance, emptiness, and tension — and in dialogue with them, search for their and our own limits.
Dana Tomečková works across jewellery, object, installation, and text. In her practice, she repeatedly returns to the theme of temporality — through the fragility and mutability of things. She is fascinated by the unstable nature of reality, its elusiveness, to which she responds with slowness and persistence.
