Annotácia

xhibition Married Active Powerless vol. 2 is the result of author Bianka Ézsölová's bachelor's thesis, which deals with personal experience with gender-based violence in a contextualized form. The author is aware of the fact that unprocessed traumas do not disappear, but return to future generations (Freud, Jung), as well as facts about intergenerational traumas. Therefore, more than her own powerlessness to somehow solve the situation in childhood, she is troubled by the general impact of similar stories on the children of problematic parents and their future. Therefore, it does not bring "pretty pictures", but in an engaged way, through multimedia means such as video, text work and architecture, she puts energy into clearly articulating that this is a systemic flaw in society that must be addressed and removed. It is therefore not about aestheticizing the problem, but about finding a balance between the formal rendering of individual outputs at the exhibition, which are rather documentary, factual and analytical in nature and work with real and authentic materials. She was inspired by the artists Laia Abril and Stefanie Moshammer, especially by their approach and way of processing similar themes. Ézsölová is profiled as a multimedia, investigative and documentary artist who puts the message of her work first and devotes all other efforts to its clear articulation and accessibility to the widest possible audience.
