Publication Art Dizajn. František Burian and students is a joint work of design historians and theorists from Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Reflections on pedagogical methods were added by František Burian's students from both countries. The basic concept of the book was born in the discussions of the editors of the text and image part Zden Kolesár and Marián Laššák, the graphic designer Marcel Benčík and František Burian himself. His work gradually exceeded the conventionally defined limits of design and already at the end of the eighties of the last century it was moving into the area known today as art design.
