Studio ILLOLA:

Studio ILLOLA consists of two important designers: Slovak designer and artist Patrik Illo and Polish designer Aleksandra Stencel. Both of them also create independently, and their talent and creations have come together under the brand ILLOLA. They founded it in 2014 and together, in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, they create postmodern design and art design products in which they combine glass craft with conceptual undertones.

Along with extravagance in form, decoration and content, their portfolio also has a strong place in utilitarian and decorative glass of simple, elegant modernist shapes, whose ambition is not to dominate the interior, but to communicate with it.

According to PhDr. Petr Nový, Ph.D., who has been collaborating with the pair of artists for a long time, "the collection for Designblok is created from completely new designs or updated variants of previously presented themes. They are united by effective color and decoration, and shape imagination." And he further adds: "While Patrik Illo continues to discover the possibilities of an object within an object, and also focused on the theme of deformation of the form, Aleksandra Stencel concentrates on developing her minimalist concept of design work focused on detail and subtle nuances.'
