About the event:
- The workshop is the result of cooperation between the Studio of Fiber Art of AFAD and Studio Data[LAB] FAD STU.
- The workshop is led by doc. Mgr. art. Martin Uhrík, PhD., head of Data[LAB] and doctoral student Ing. arch. Alexander Kupko.
doc. Mgr. art. Martin Uhrík, PhD.
was on a research stay at Columbia University, New York, USA. He is the author of the monograph Digital Architecture. He currently works as a docent at the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Slovak Technical University, head of the Data[LAB] studio. In practice, he works on the border between architecture and design in the companies SUA and Poolwalk as the author of several realizations.
Ing. arch. Alexander Kupko
graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Slovak Technical University in 2020. He is currently a doctoral student at the Faculty of Architecture and Design. He teaches at the Institute of Ecological and Experimental Architecture and in the Data[LAB] studio. It focuses on parametric design, digital fabrication, augmented reality and 3D modeling. His doctoral studies are focused on education and the intuitive use of computing tools in the creative process. He also works in the studio for light and digital design CTRL_space.
