How can you arrange a consultation with Martin?

Sessions take place in person in Office D315 on the third floor at Drotárska cesta 44 or, by arrangement, via Microsoft Teams. Appointments must be arranged in advance by email at or by telephone at +421 911 764 699.

You can contact me on Mondays and from Wednesdays to Fridays between 09:00 and 16:30.

Who am I?

My name is Martin Šarkan. At the centre, I provide counselling and guidance to students as they navigate personal and academic challenges. In addition to counselling, I have worked for several years as a teacher and researcher at VŠVU and TFTU, focusing on personality psychology, philosophical anthropology, the philosophy of mind, and broader social and cultural topics.

What areas do I focus on?

  • psychological counselling and support during difficult emotional or personal situations, including depression, anxiety, stress, and relationship problems,
  • social counselling and advice for students experiencing financial difficulties, including help with exploring possible solutions,
  • study-related advice, including support with insufficient academic progress or lack of motivation,
  • advice and coordination of activities related to students with specific needs,
  • psychological counselling for VŠVU employees,
  • student ombudsperson services,
  • mediation,
  • receiving reports and addressing inappropriate conduct, various forms of discrimination, and violations of the rights set out in the VŠVU Code of Ethics.
