Kristýna Macková - In harmony with nature

The main theme of the bachelor thesis is the creation of an ecological element for the interior, which emphasizes the harmony of sustainable design and which is proof that design can go hand in hand with functionality and aesthetics. With this work, the author responds to her internship at Rooty s.r.o. The resulting product is a "living wall" installation, which is assembled from modules created from a composite natural material suitable for interior use. The use of natural products returns us to a life that is in harmony with the entire planet, is natural and healthy. The work includes lamps and woven blankets; they were made from 100% wool in the Kubák company, the Kubák weaving plant, the Strmilov weaving plant, k. with.

The work won the prestigious Silver Award in the C-IDEA Design Award 2022 competition.

Grand Prix Mobitex

This year, for the thirteenth time, a competition of design works created by high school and university students from Slovakia and the Czech Republic was held. The jury chose from 129 submitted works - from interior accessories to larger forms of seating furniture. Student projects reflected new sustainable procedures, but also traditional production techniques and combined functionality and aesthetics. "For the exhibiting students, the presentation at the fair was another opportunity to establish contacts with manufacturers, company representatives, on the other hand, can find a creative collaborator and be inspired by the ideas of creators unencumbered by production 'reality'," exhibition curator PhDr. Dagmar Koudelková.
