Selection procedure – researcher
The Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, with its registered office at Hviezdoslavovo nám. 18, in Bratislava, in accordance with Section 77, paragraph 1 of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the "Act on Higher Education Institutions"), announces a selection procedure for filling the positions of researchers and university teachers in the functional position of assistant professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava as follows:
Department of Theory and History of Art – AFAD RESEARCH CENTER
Researcher assigned to the AFAD Research Center on the topic: Forms of Performative Artistic Practice and Performative Visual Arts and Media in Relation to Queer Culture, with a focus on the formation and transformation of this issue within the V4 region from the late 20th century to the present. The research will result in a publication.

Required Qualifications:
- Successfully completed PhD (third level of higher education) in the field of art studies,
- Ability to conduct independent scientific research,
- Proficiency in English, ability to use programs in Windows OS,
- Defense of a written research concept.
General Requirements:
- Meeting the specified academic qualifications,
- Submission of the required written documents,
- Good conduct (no criminal record),
- Personal participation in the selection process.
Selection Process:
- Presentation of research and other professional activities,
- Presentation of the proposed research concept,
- Discussion with the committee members and defense of the submitted research concept.

- Application – a written request to participate in the selection process, including consent to the processing of personal data in accordance with Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection. The application must include: personal information – name, surname, address, contact details (email, phone), and the exact job title the candidate is applying for.

- Structured CV* (containing name and surname, but without personal details and a photograph),
- Officially certified copies of diplomas for second and third level higher education,
- Criminal record extract not older than 3 months,
- Research concept for the given topic,
- Portfolio of research and other professional activities,
- Declaration of other employment relationships with universities in Slovakia or abroad for academic or research positions, including details of weekly working hours (for the purpose of verifying compliance with §74 (5) of the Higher Education Act),

All documents must be submitted in both printed and electronic form (on a USB drive).
Internal employees do not need to submit officially certified copies of diplomas; a regular copy is sufficient.
Salary Conditions:
According to applicable legal regulations (Act No. 553/2003 on the remuneration of employees in public interest), i.e., based on the special pay scale for university teachers.
Job Description:
Expected job responsibilities in accordance with § 75 of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions.
