Mgr. art. Matej Novotný, PhD.

  • University Lecturer, Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Bratislava

„A Window Inward – Visual Computations and Interaction as Tools for Humanizing Data“

  • Public habilitation lecture and defense of the habilitation thesis

Human knowledge today is most often represented by digital data. Paradoxically, as the complexity and volume of data grows, knowledge becomes less accessible. However, with algorithms and a visual language, we can create a communication channel between human and computer. In this way, we can uncover new contexts, explore old beauty, and tell stories.
