Miroslav Pazdera – The Margin of Interest
We cordially invite you to the second lecture in the Brown Lecture Series (BLS2).
Lecture room no. 135, AFAD, Hviezdoslavovo námestie 18
The lecture connects several areas often perceived as peripheral within the field of architecture: the research project Steel Cities, an interest in geology, and the current semester’s research focused on the possibilities of adapting the building of the Czech Embassy in Berlin. The unifying theme is exploring how we can learn from these interdisciplinary interactions.
Miroslav Pazdera is an architect, lecturer, and curator. He studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague, RWTH Aachen, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Together with colleagues, he co-authored the publication Steel Cities. As an architect, he has worked in Zurich, Berlin, and Prague. He is currently a co-head of a studio at the FA CTU, organizes the lecture series November Talks, collaborates with the ViPer Gallery, and pursues his own architectural practice.
The Brown Lecture Series has been created with the financial support of the project KEGA 002VŠVU-4/2025.
