About the Lecture

The lecture will focus on the illustration of science fiction literature in Slovakia from 1958 to 1988, with some older references. Through visual and book examples, the author explores the transformations of illustrative forms and themes, presenting the (typo)graphic design of sci-fi books and the visual representation of themes in this specific literary genre.

The research was supported by the Slovak Arts Council through a public funding grant.
