Ján Kralovič: Forms of the author's book in Slovakia in the 1960s and 1980s

As part of the accompanying program of the Artoteka Gallery, during March - the month of books, we have prepared a lecture for you on the topic: Forms of the author's book in Slovakia in the 1960s and 1980s, which will be presented by art historian Ján Kralovič. The lecture on different forms of the author's book will focus on examples from Slovak visual arts. The book as a conceptual object, an interpreted book or an appropriated book represent different forms of use of the book, which has become more of an intermedial and interactive artefact since the 1960s.

 


Mgr. Ján Kralovič, PhD.

studied History of Art and Culture at the Faculty of Arts TU in Trnava. In the years 2012 – 2016, he worked as a researcher at AFAD in Bratislava, where he currently works as an assistant professor at the Department of Theory and History of Art. He lectures Slovak art of the 20th century, seminars focused on new media and intermedial art, conducts seminars focused on the interpretation of a work of art and curatorial work. He publishes in professional magazines.
