Women of AFAD: Dana Salamonová

In the second episode of the Women of AFAD podcast, Zuzana Golianová spoke with Professor Dana Salamonová, who, in addition to her practice as a sculpture restorer, worked at the AFAD as head of the department and of the studio.

In the interview, Dana Salamonová talks about her position as the first or only woman in all-male collectives - not only as the first high school carving graduate, but also as the first student of restoration under the supervision of prof. Karel Veselý or as one of the first graduates of this field at the AFAD. She also talks about her restoration and teaching practice, about possible approaches to damaged monuments, as well as about the past and current transformation of the department at our school.

Women of AFAD: Women about work, practice and things that matter is a series of podcasts that we prepared on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the AFAD in cooperation with Zuzana Golianová. Every Tuesday throughout October and November, you can look forward to a new interview with one of our school's former and current pedagogues, who reflect on the history and development of the AFAD through the eyes of women.
