Exceptional awards from our colleagues

Tatrabanka Foundation Award for Art

In the field of design, two of our colleagues Pavel Choma and Martin Kubina became the laureates. They received the award for the concept of the Bratislava stand at the Salon du Livre book fair in Paris.

In the field of fine arts, curator Mirka Kerátová became the laureate, who prepared the exhibition UNITED WE STAND / DEVIDED WE FALL - Michal Moravčík. Our colleagues Janka Kapelová, František Demeter and Martin Piaček, as well as Svätopluk Mikyta and Dalibor Bača - AFAD graduates - also participated artistically and professionally in the exhibition.

In the Young Artist category (up to 35 years), two of our colleagues became laureates. In the field of fine arts András Cséfalvay and in the field of design for the publication Čierne diery Michal Tornayai together with Martin Lipták, Andrej Sarvaš, Miroslav Beňák and Daniela Olejníková.

Grand Prix of Architecture, National Architecture Prize

Our colleague Petr Hájek won the National Award for Architecture of the Czech Republic, specifically in the subgroup Award for Reconstruction: extension of the DOX Center for Contemporary Art in Prague by a DOX + building intended for dance, music, film and school of architecture.

Dušan Jurkovič Award and Prof. Martin Kusý Award

The winners of the Dušan Jurkovič Award for 2019 were our colleagues Vít Halada, Benjamín Brádňanský and a graduate of the AFAD Maroš Greš for the architectural work Monument in Majer.

Prof. Martin Kusý was won by Michal Tornayai for the Black Holes project together with Martin Lipták, Andrej Sarvaš and Miroslav Beňák.
