Elections for the Student Council of Higher Education for the AFAD in Bratislava

On December 5, 2024, the term of the delegate of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava in the Student Council of Higher Education Institutions of the Slovak Republic (hereinafter also "SRVS") for the 2021-2024 term will end. The Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava announces elections for the SRVS for the 2024-2027 election period. These elections are an opportunity for each of you to run for the position of delegate for the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava and also to express your opinion in the elections.

What are the SRVS Elections?

The Student Council of Higher Education Institutions is a body that represents all students of higher education institutions in Slovakia. It represents us in various decision-making processes and advocates for our rights and interests at the level of the Ministry of Education, as well as at international forums.

Why are these Elections Important?

We have a unique opportunity to elect a delegate who will represent the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava on this important platform. The elected delegate will have the opportunity to actively participate in changes that affect student life, study programs, and the quality of education.

Who Can Run?

Every student of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava who meets the conditions of the SRVS statute has the right to run.

Why Get Involved?

Membership in the SRVS allows students to influence decisions that have a direct impact on the higher education environment and to represent the opinions and needs of students of art higher education institutions.

Voting:

All students of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava have the right to vote.

I Want to Be a Delegate in SRVS

1. A member of the student part of the academic community of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (a student of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design at all three levels) can nominate a candidate for delegate to the elections.
2. Print and fill out the Candidate Nomination Form for the SRVS Delegate, which must be signed by both the proposer and the candidate.
3. The proposer must deliver the nomination form to the registry of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design by January 14, 2025, where you will sign the submission of the nomination in the attendance list.
4. The elections will be conducted through secret voting in AiS from January 16, 2025, to January 20, 2025.
5. We will announce the results on January 22, 2025.

How Can I Vote for a Delegate to SRVS?

1. The elections will be conducted through secret voting in AiS from January 16, 2025, to January 20, 2025.
2. Every member of the student part of the academic community of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava will receive information about the start of the secret voting through AiS.
3. The list of candidates will be published on this page at least one day before the elections.
4. The election results will also be published on this page.
