CDW 2024 Discovery of the Year: Klára Valušková
Klára Valušková, a student from the Studio of Metal and Jewelry, won the Discovery of the Year award at Czech Design Week 2024. We congratulate!
"Work of the student from the Studio of Metal and Jewelry at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava is characterized by her use of geometry, illusion, and light in her work, primarily creating with optical materials. At Mánes, she presents a collection of jewelry that similarly interacts with light, capturing the atmosphere of its surroundings and responding to changes in lighting. The jewelry thus reflects its environment and continually transforms on the wearer. It captures the attention of both viewers and wearers, offering a new perspective on the surrounding world."
