Award at Czech Design Week for Studio of Experimental Design
This year, at Czech Design Week in Prague, an international showcase of the latest developments in design, the Experimental Design Studio at AFAD received a Special Jury Mention for its collective presentation, TRANSFORMATION.

The student installation TRANSFORMATION / METAMORPHOSIS, created under the guidance of studio tutors Sylvia Jokelová and Petra Rybánska, approaches material as an active partner in the creative process.
The student works, created during the 2025/2026 academic year, explore unconventional craft techniques, technological errors, deviations and the non-linear development of materials. The individual projects move between material research, limited editions and spatial installations, raising the question of whether contemporary design can function more as an open, evolving process than as a definitive solution.
