Medium_35: Zuzana Lapitková
In 2026 Medium Gallery celebrates its 35th anniversary as a part of Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava! On this occasion we have prepared in the premises of the former artshop by the entrance to the gallery a new project called Medium_35. Medium_35 introduces throughout 2026 self-curated selection from libraries of twelve personalities of the AFAD who have a special relationship with the gallery and according to criteria they will choose on their own.

Zuzana Lapitková is a curator, art theoretician, and director of the VŠVU Academic Library. In 2020 and 2021, she was the manager of the Medium Gallery. In addition to comics from her library, you’ll have the chance to see a selection of fiction and a little surprise tucked between their pages – poetry by Zuzana Lapitková. Each selection will be accompanied by a short video about what you will have a chance to see at the gallery and what kind of relationship do our congratulators have with our gallery.
