Medium_35: Rastislav Podhorský
In 2026 Medium Gallery celebrates its 35th anniversary as a part of Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava! On this occasion we have prepared in the premises of the former artshop by the entrance to the gallery a new project called Medium_35. Medium_35 introduces throughout 2026 self-curated selection from libraries of twelve personalities of the AFAD who have a special relationship with the gallery and according to criteria they will choose on their own.

Rastislav Podhorský is a visual artist and head of the Delta painting studio at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (VŠVU). In addition to painting, he also devotes himself systematically to reading and writing. He is the author of the book Prievozník. O ľuďoch v neumení a figúrach v umení. His selection for the Medium Gallery features primarily books on philosophy and art history, as well as various other titles that offer a glimpse into the intellectual background and interests of our September guest.
