Medium_35: Peter Pivoda
In 2026 Medium Gallery celebrates its 35th anniversary as a part of Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava! On this occasion we have prepared in the premises of the former artshop by the entrance to the gallery a new project called Medium_35. Medium_35 introduces throughout 2026 self-curated selection from libraries of twelve personalities of the AFAD who have a special relationship with the gallery and according to criteria they will choose on their own.

Peter Pivoda holds a Ph.D. in cultural studies and worked for several years as a gallery educator at the Slovak National Gallery. He is currently engaged in research on sculptures and monumental works in public spaces and works as a grant and project manager at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (VŠVU). He presents a special selection from his library that addresses topics related to various creatures and phenomena of nature, with a focus on scientific illustrations.
