Teritórium Zvuk/Za Oknom – workshop
Teritórium Zvuk/Za Oknom is a workshop for aspiring sound artists, computer music composers and all those who like to experiment and move on the border between technology and art. It is intended for those who are interested in sound synthesis, spatial sound, sound programming in the open source language SuperCollider and are open to collaboration, new experiences and experimentation.
The workshop will take place over two days at the Medium Gallery in Bratislava.

The workshop capacity is limited. Max. 15 participants.
Participation age: 18+

Content of workshop:
The workshop will include an introduction to the SuperCollider language, collaborative experimentation and its main focus will be working with live audio signals from the square. The result of the workshop will be a public sound situation at the end of the Saturday day.
The workshop is part of the art and educational series Digital Tools of the ooo Association, focused on exploring the relationship between digital technologies and artistic practice.
Practical info:
Participants need to have their own laptop with the SuperCollider program installed (https://supercollider.github.io/) and their own headphones for the workshop.
Previous knowledge of the SuperCollider language is an advantage, but not necessary.
Schedule:
Friday 7. 11. afternoon from 13:00 to approx. 17:00
Saturday 8. 11. afternoon from 10:00 to approx. 14:00
The workshop will culminate in a public performance on Saturday afternoon.
About the lecturer:
Fero Király (1979) is an artist and educator. He is involved in projects that overlap with performance, sound art and sound installations, interpretations of contemporary music, the development of his own audiovisual tools, as well as educational projects in the field of music, multimedia and creative programming. In doing so, he uses new frontier experimental positions, creates his own digital tools and enjoys collaborating on projects with other artists with a multidisciplinary focus. Together with Eva Vozárová, he leads the civic association ooo, which is the main platform for these activities, and curates the intermedia international event JAMA.
In 2024, he collaborated on the project of the Slovak representation at the 60th Venice Biennale, within which he created the music and performance concept for the Floating Arboretum project by Oto Hudec; premiered the audiovisual essay all You Can Eat (Király, Vozárová) and released the album How Much Can We Understand on Next Records. He works as a teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Bratislava, where he teaches the subject Sound.
