SYMPA SYMPO 2025 at AFAD
SYMPA SYMPO is a student ceramic symposium organized by the students of the Ceramics Studio. The 2025 edition is the fourth in the series since its founding and the first to be held in Slovakia.
This event aims to connect current ceramics students as well as all young creators working with this material. The goal of the symposium is to create a space for connection and the formation of an inter-university community of young ceramic artists.
The 2025 edition will take place in the Ceramics Studio of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. The theme of this year’s symposium is – *challenge*.

Who can apply:
Current students and recent graduates of art disciplines can apply (limit for graduates: within 5 years of graduation). Studying ceramics or porcelain is not a requirement, but each participant should have a solid knowledge of the field and be able to work independently.
Previous experience with ceramics or porcelain is required.
