The body is neither a motif nor an object of representation. It takes shape in relation to material, image and space, entering the work through gesture, touch and movement. In this context, the practices of Sonia Ščepánová and Emília Gurová enter into dialogue. Although the two artists work with different media, they share an interest in how the body leaves its presence in image and material. The exhibition explores how image, object and performance create a shared space of embodied experience.
