Open Call: Collaborative Quilt-Making
We are creating a collective Blanket of Solidarity with Palestine and oppressed communities around the world! This open call is for everyone — not only for artists, but also for children and seniors. Don’t hesitate to join — become part of our shared humanity.
Inspired by the International Quilt (in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace), join Nawras Rashed & Katarína Janečková, in collaboration with Včera bolo neskoro and the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (AFAD), and create your own textile square.
The squares will then be sewn together into one large quilt. Every stitch, color, and voice matters!
Size of your square: 50 × 50 cm (+3 cm seam allowance)
Colors: Palestinian (red, green, black, white) — you may also include the colors of other oppressed nations
Technique: any (painting, embroidery, collage, print, etc.) — suitable for outdoor display
The quilt will be exhibited in Bratislava, at protests, exhibitions, and public events.
Deadline: October 24, 2025
