The festival “NOT A WASTED YOUTH” is a celebration of youth, guitar music, and fun constrained by boundaries. But it's also a platform for a voice that today asks questions without answers. Besides music, expect exhibitions, performances, and random encounters. Engagement? It’s resistance, it’s charge, it’s a multi-fight.
Exhibition:
Michaela Prablesková – The OG TOP G (2025)
Toxic masculinity gets slapped back. Michaela creates symbols of power – an ironic yet serious series of objects and videos that show how to reclaim control when the world belongs to rich men with daddy issues.
Performance: Kasha Potrohosh
The artist turns to studies of old folk spells, recipes, and incantations that contain harsh, morbidly misogynistic narratives, ultimately transforming them into feminist curses.
Alžbeta Papíková
The taste of rotten plums reminds me it’s time to slowly leave – A metaphorical performance about inclusion, difference, and collective invisibility. A swarm of mosquitoes as the voice of the oppressed. Steel, wings, light, and sound between sound art and gentle activism.
Erik Ždiľa
An intermedia artist working mainly in space and object, through ironic play and the discovery of unusual situations and connections. At the festival, he will present a performative adaptation of one of his latest works.
