Annotation

Together with visual artist Kasha Potrohosh, we will immerse ourselves in the process of mask-making. We will create an additional/new face, whether we currently need to hide for a moment or, on the contrary, reveal a long-hidden self to the world.

During the peak of the carnival celebrations, the workshop will also include a short presentation on Slovak carnival traditions. As is customary at a proper carnival festivity, there will also be feasting, so expect some light refreshments!

We will be working with nylon stockings, so if you have any old, unworn pairs lying around at home, bring them to tranzit on February 20 and give them a second life. However, we are prepared with our own supplies, so you don’t need to bring anything to the workshop. The event is open to the general public – no prior experience is required.
