We cordially invite you to an online discussion of Machine Archeology on the occasion of the opening of the six-week art residence "NAO robot"

via the Zoom platform on the line:

https://us02web.zoom.us

Meeting ID: 879 9858 1566
Code: 1C35mC

During the evening we will introduce the artists of the residence - Richard Kučera Guzmán & Emma Záhradníkovová, guest artist and dancer Tomáš Danielis and together with invited guests Ralf Baecker and Theo Jansen we will discuss the essence of machines as analog and digital systems.

Through installations and machines, RALF BAECKER explores the basic mechanisms of influence and effects of new media and technologies.

THEO JANSEN is the father of "strandbeests", beach animals made from basal materials that are not proteins but yellow plastic tubes. Skeletons made of these tubes know how to walk and gain their energy with the help of the wind.

The NAO robot residence and accompanying events are a project of cooperation between the Sensorium digital art and culture festival, the Goethe Institute in Bratislava and Inolab (research and development department of the Slovak Design Center).
