Annotation

Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a metal mesh stretched overhead, Fall (2025). It presents a double threshold. It is a refuge – protecting from latent danger. At the same time, it is a source of tension – in a sensitive space, with unpredictable falls. This scenographic installation is the artist’s first “probe”: atmospheric, intuitive, ambivalent. It immediately introduces the main theme of the exhibition: the perception of what is uncertain, tense, unexpected. And hidden.

Poster for the exhibition Jaroslav Kyša – Probing the Unseen. The background features a glacier with small human figures walking at its base. In the bottom right corner, there is a smaller image of a goat licking a white object. The text includes the exhibition title, the curator's name (Silvia Van Espen), the opening date and time (2 July 2025 at 7 PM), the venue (ZAHORIAN & VAN ESPEN, Mierová 7, Bratislava), and mentions public funding support.

The project is supported using public funds from the Slovak Arts Council.
