The second edition of the MACH 2026 festival
Topic: MYTH - In this case, myth does not mean an ancient story, but a living archetype that constantly shapes our imagination, memory and identity. In performance art, myth becomes a body, voice, image and ritual that can be simultaneously evoked, questioned or re-created. The festival wants to open space for projects that reinterpret traditional legends and myths, create new symbolic worlds or explore how myths are transformed in today's society marked by technology and globalization.

The performative situation of the students of the Intermedia Studio of the Academy of Fine Arts of Bratislava loosely follows the work of Katy Mach - Song to the Siren, 2017, from the perspective of Generation Z. The siren in a golden costume made of thermal insulation foil is replaced by a goldfish, which lures with its promise of a better life.
