Ema Lančaričová (*1993, Trnava)
is a visual artist working primarily with analog and instant photography, building her work on philosophical context and an experimental approach. In her pieces, she seeks the essence of photography. She focuses on primary variables such as time, light, and space, as well as their negations.
In her theoretical research, she examines current transformations in the photographic medium. In 2024, she completed her doctoral studies at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, where she currently teaches. She has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Slovakia and abroad. Among others, she has exhibited at Fotohof in Salzburg, Rotlicht Festival in Vienna, Photon Gallery in Ljubljana, Galerie Fotografie in Prague, and Gandy Gallery in Bratislava.
