What happens when we try to physically “digest” our own past? My bachelor’s thesis is a ritual that explores the boundaries of personal memory and our obsession with preserving images. Conceived as the “Last Supper” of an archive, the installation transforms twelve chapters of my family life into edible fragments, which undergo a process of rotting and decay before the viewers’ eyes.
Through experimental techniques and a live performance, I attempt a “radical deprogramming” from family myths and explore whether our archives still constitute a meaningful legacy, or merely indigestible ballast. Here, the viewer is not only an observer, but also a participant in the act of “digestion”, helping me absorb what I can no longer continue to carry within myself. Come sit at the table and taste, together with me, the remains of my archive, which opens up the question of our responsibility for tomorrow.
