COCOON
The exhibition unfolds thematic threads from the form, matter and other qualities of the cocoon (cocoon), the creation and existence of which are connected with the protection of what is inside and with a gradual transformation sensitively reacting to its surroundings. In mutual interaction, the exhibited works pack themes and develop relationships touching on the heritage of industrial architecture, architecture as such, our relationship to the (living) environment, to work and to how we interpret and resell these relationships. The exhibition is an ahistorical view of how our perception of the human position changes within different (eco)systems, a poetic attempt to create an atmosphere and the possibility of retreating into a living cocoon-like structure on the ruins of exhausted narratives about man's dominance over nature.
